| Sabrina's Question: "Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons since they weren't born the same way we were?" Answer: Dear Sabrina, What a cute and creative question!!! I think most people would agree that we on earth could not POSSIBLY know this question for sure, but I'm going to give you my best guesses. |

| My answer would be no and yes! Since Adam came from dirt, and Eve came from his rib, there wouldn't have been a necessary reason for an umbilical cord, as I'm sure you've figured out! So that would mean no belly button. BUT! I have to believe that since God is so orderly that He probably put the system in place for the rest of the humans that would come after them. To sum it up, I believe that even though they probably did NOT have belly buttons (that would look so weird, wouldn't it?), that they STILL had the right parts to make them for the humans after them. Kind of like a tool kit? Of COURSE, bear in mind that God is God, and He started the creation of the whole world by saying, "Let there be LIGHT!!!!" So if He wanted to, His creation for the belly button could've been as simple as Him shouting, "LET THERE BE BELLY BUTTONS!" Or He could've just stuck his finger on their tummies, and Wah Lah! A cute little knot right in the middle. :) We'll know all about umbilical cords and tummy buttons when we get to Heaven, won't we? Thanks for asking such a great question! I learned a lot, too!
